The game is split into scenes, every scene features one of the main characters and only one character is controlled at a time. Get a party of four people and match each person to a character. There are four main characters in Heavy Rain (more on this later). It’s an old game now and can be had for cheap. It supports the Move controllers but I played with a single Dualshock and found it totally satisfactory. I won’t go on – there are plenty of reviews out there if you want them – just be sure to avoid spoilers. The decisions you make determine the final outcome. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure mechanic in a crime thriller storyline. It makes for a unique co-op experience that you’ll remember longer and fonder than your standard split-screen shooter. If you haven’t played Heavy Rain I urge you to read on. If you’ve already played Heavy Rain, ah well, hopefully you enjoyed playing it in a (presumably) more traditional single-player manner. Heavy Rain isn’t meant to be a co-op title, but recently I finished playing it exactly that way, and it was a memorable experience.
